What is the difference between pal and ntsc gamecube

Pepper Junior Member. KHg8m3r Doesn't sleep, just Dolphin and Robots. This is what it does on consoles, and in Dolphin also. I have to avoid purchasing PAL games then. Jelly Junior Member. Dolphin says that all my gamecube games run on 60 fps and they are the pal versions. ExtremeDude2 Gotta post fast. And it is very easy to softmod a Wii and bypass the region lock to be able to read discs from any region.

I don't even have a run on here so idk if PAL is good. You should probably ask in the discord. Upper Normandy , France. You'll want JP 1. I'm pretty sure homebrew like Swiss can do that, it's just not as easy to set up as it is on Wii.

Also there's a load time difference between GC and Wii, and it's bigger than the difference between any versions. Dude, I have 2nd gen wii and I want to buy a gamecube, so can you please just tell me the answers of my questions without talking about the wii as a "holy grale"?

Sorry for that, it's just everytime when you ask in any forum in the internet, somebody is like "yeah I'm sorry, I did not want to offense you. I am also answering your questions tho, just making sure you're aware that this isn't the fastest or easiest setup but you do you. I actually did not know wii is faster, but I stsrted collecting all nintendo consoles, so I'm gonna buy a gamecube anyways, and because I like to soeedrun I thought I could do a couple sunshine speedruns, without any serious grind, but if I bought a gamecube anyways I would like to have the better Version, you know what I mean?

If you just want to do, as you say, "a couple sunshine speedruns, without any serious grind," then you don't need to worry about which console or version you play on.

This may be difficult to do and requires buying more hardware, like an SD card adapter or a modchip , so it's probably not worth it for someone who isn't going to spend a lot of time speedrunning the game.

Just because different groups of countries rely on the same video standard doesn't automatically mean that Wii games from one country will work in another country's Wii that uses the same video standard. At the Wii's initial release, Nintendo confirmed that both its Wii consoles and its Wii video game discs would be region-locked. While it's possible to hack your Wii so it will play another region's games, the legality of doing so varies from country to country -- and you'll certainly void your Wii's warranty.

If you have a burning desire to play Wii games that were only ever released in the U. Unfortunately, for video equipment to work together, it must all use the same video standard -- or be able to convert from one standard to another, as some region-free DVD players do.
